Safaree gives to home community in Jamaica

The event, organized by the Safaree Foundation in association with Konnect Media Inc., was held at the Pondside Primary and Infant School and saw children receiving bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other school supplies.

Reality television star Safaree Samuels fulfilled his commitment to helping vulnerable children in his home community of Pondside, Hanover, by hosting a back-to-school treat last Thursday.

Safaree decided to give back to the children after a recent visit to Waterhouse, Kingston, where he witnessed firsthand the living conditions of some of the children.

Sharing a video on August 12 via Instagram, the entertainer told his fans that he would be hosting his first back-to-school treat in Jamaica.

“I’m on my heal the world journey!!! The first of many! Let’s make history,” he captioned the video, while inviting people to donate to the cause.

The event was originally scheduled to be held in Waterhouse, but due to a curfew imposed in the community, it was relocated to Hanover, where Safaree grew up.

visit Waterhouse and Pondside again next month to distribute additional items, including shoes and clothing for the children, as promised.

He hopes to make the back-to-school treat an annual event.
